about

Nicolette Good blurs the lines between indie and folk music, a path that earned her the 2011 title of San Antonio Magazine's Readers' Pick for best musician and a Regional New Folk Ballad Tree Performer spot at the 2011 Kerrville Folk Festival.

Her exacting vocals and haunting lyrics caught the attention of 41Entertainment's "Troubadour, TX," a 22-episode documentary-reality TV show about independent musicians. The producers called her "strong as radishes," saying, "Nicolette Good writes like butter melts."

At the series premier, she performed "Marathon" whose modal mixture and vivid West-Texas images pay tribute to heroes like Neko Case, Joni Mitchell, Gillian Welch, the Felice Brothers, and Joanna Newsom.

Since the Troubadour, TX premier and the release of her self-produced debut EP (featuring Grammy-award winning Joe Reyes on solo guitar) she has shared bills with Austin’s Noelle Hampton and Denton’s Doug Burr, with a date slated for February 2012 supporting Bettysoo.

She can be heard both as a solo artist playing acoustic guitar and textural harmonica, as well as in a duo act with electric guitarist Jesse Basham.
